Futureproof is the third full length album by Chicago based band Baron Von Future. The band blends electronic pop sensibilities with chiptune, psych rock and dance elements to create something new, energetic often unpredictable and always fun. Futureproof showcases mature songwriting, a tenured band of musicians and some incredible featured Performers.

Guests include: Mega Ran, The Microphone Misfitz, Tiggs, Nick Vivid, Zach Wolfenbarger (Arc Impulse, voidchoir) and Charlie Otto as featured vocalists/lyricists, along with Kyle Meyers on bass guitar and Neil Carson on saxophones.

Core members:

Bobby Shields (Arc Impulse, The Adventure Guild) on drums and percussion, chiptune programming, synthesizers, pianos, bass, guitar and vocals/vocoder.

Herb Wilde (Game Genie, Cheryl Rodey) on guitars.

Baron Von Future is joined by former touring synth player for 80s synth pop legends Men Without Hats, Robert “Bruce” Murphy, who joined after seeing the band perform live in Chicago.

Futureproof stands on its own two feet as a pop exploration of genre, life, love and the difficulties faced when attempting to solve a Rubik’s cube.
